Camera Attendance
Camera attendance is a time attendance system that uses cameras and face recognition to record employee attendance without touch. Attendance data goes straight to HRIS and payroll, so attendance recaps are no longer compiled manually from attendance machines.
Face Recognition Attendance, Camera-based Time Attendance
Business problems
Cards, PINs or manual attendance can be done by a colleague on someone's behalf.
Data from attendance machines is pulled and compiled by hand before payroll.
Touch devices create queues and are less hygienic.
What we build
Cameras at entrances or work areas that recognize registered employees.
Face registration with consent and photo quality control.
Attendance is validated against schedules, shifts and work locations.
Attendance, lateness and overtime data are sent to the HRIS.
Daily recaps, lateness and absence per work unit.
Example applications
Employees clock in at the gate without queuing and data feeds shift calculations directly.
Attendance from several sites is collected in one HRIS.
Camera check-in points are rolled out gradually alongside existing machines.
Architecture & approach
Assess check-in points, lighting and employee flow.
Trial at one site to measure accuracy and speed.
Connect attendance data to shift rules and payroll.
Gradual expansion with a fallback procedure when recognition fails.
Technology & integration
Deployment
Biometric data is treated as sensitive personal data from the design stage.
| Option | Description | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Edge + internal server | Recognition on the check-in device, attendance data to internal servers. |
|
| Central server | Camera streams are processed on the company's central server. |
